STEP Ireland was established in October 1998 and is the Irish Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Membership of STEP Ireland is comprised of some of the most experiences and senior Trust and Estate practitioners in Ireland who come from a variety of professional backgrounds. We include members from the legal, accountancy, tax, banking, pension and insurance professions. A full STEP member is authorised to use the designation TEP, and the Irish branch provides practitioners with access to high level trusts and estates resources for its members.
Our branch membership is over 200 and we host a number of continual professional development events throughout the year. These seminars are an opportunity to achieve your annual CPD and excellent networking events for our members. We often partner with other professional bodies in order to host CPD events for our members which are always well-attended and comprise topical presentations from industry leaders. We organise an annual conference which is one of STEP Ireland’s most popular and widely attended events focussed on providing our members with the most up to date, practical and relevant insights from leading professionals in our industry.
Our committee is made up of 17 members. We meet monthly to arrange events for our members and to discuss ways in which we can support our members while also encouraging new members to join. We are committed to growing STEP in Ireland and this is partly achieved through the STEP Diploma which we run in conjunction with the Law Society on a bi-annual basis and is one of the routes to membership of STEP find out more.
We have a designated Student Liaison Officer who is available to answer any queries that may arise during the course of a student’s period of study. More information about joining STEP can be found here.
